« Happy Birthday to my sweet Ella! | Main | I Inspire Me »

Helloo blogland...

So guess who discovered Facebook and has been neglecting life over here in typepad land.  :(   sorry peeps.   I have quickly been drawn into the world of FB even though, I never thought it would appeal to me.  I'm shocked at how many friends, family, neighbors, old friends, etc....are on this thing.   It's kinda scary.  I mean, does this mean we will never have to make a face-to-face effort again? hmmmm...the future can be a scary thought.

Speaking of the future.  I cannot wait for the debate this week between Biden and Palin. (<-click this. omg!)   It's going to be such good TV!   Maybe even better than the past two opening skits on SNL ...although, those will be so hard to beat ;)  so SO funny!   I just love that TF is back and doing such a brill job.

We've been filling up the Details website (and shop) with lots of new goodness for the holidays.   Mostly fun prezzies and tons of "stocking stuffer" type things.   I think I am going to put an ad in our local paper towards Thankgiving that reads something like "Stocking Stuffer Central!"    I collected email addy's all summer at the shop and recently sent out a new link,  but plan on a more aggressive marketing campaign over the next few months...  It's really starting to catch on!   I'm super thrilled.

I had been looking for an artist to make hand stamped silver charm necklaces for the shop and I think I found her.   She hand stamps rough little discs of silver with any name or initials you'd like.   I'm excited to get an "Alex" and "Ella" which are my samples coming this week!   These will be available soon on the website...and at a very reasonable cost!

Stamped silver

I'm looking at moving Details into a larger retail space after the holidays.  I hope it all works out as I'd love to add a couple boutique clothing lines which require much more space.   So fun!  I hope it happens x

Speaking of boutique clothing lines.   One of my favvy Etsy vendors is having a coolio contest!   She makes the most gorgeous little girls clothes and if you convo her by Oct. 10th (I think),  you can win something from her shop for FREE!   You know I entered ;)

As you know, Ella recently turned six.  Well,  we took her and her little friends to the Chuckee of Cheeses (all she wanted to do...*sigh*...anyway) and we had to borrow my sister's mini van.  When we went to pick it up,  she had decorated it all sorts of fun and I must say, we were the hit of the highway driving down to the Cheese!   Of course, beeping away when people would wave.   Yah, we are "one of those families"  HA!

Birthday bus

I finally hit the scrappy table yesterday and created some much overdue scrappiness.
