Design Team Call at Scrapbook Takeout...

When I saw this design team call for Scrapbook Takeout, I knew that I had to post it here!  Every month I design stamps for them.  They are so nice and I promise you that the stamps are *gorgeous* (all the stamps, not just the ones I design - LOL!).  So, read all the info below and apply!

Stamp Design Team Call – "Gettin’ Stampy Girls"

Scrapbook Takeout is looking for a few good stampers!! If you love stamps and use them on layouts and cards you just may be the designer for us!  We are looking for 3 talented, inspiring stampers to provide samples, techniques and classes for our subscribers, using our stamps and embellishment kits.

A Getting Stampy Girl must have the following –

The ability to work under tight deadlines; The ability to teach new techniques and classes, providing step by step instructions; The ability to take good photographs of their projects; The ability to interact with our members on our forum; And of course the ability to highlight not only our stamps but our kits!

The Details –

The SDT Term is for 6 months from January 1, 2009 – June 30, 2009.

Each month you must create at minimum 2 projects using the supplies provided (each of these equals 1 project: 1 layout, 2 cards or 1 altered project.)

You will be required to post 3 (three) Technique Threads or Class Threads with applicable step by step instructions and pictures during your term on a rotating basis. Schedule to be determined, more participation is encouraged and rewarded!!

All projects are due on the 15th of each month, provided kits ship on time.

Post and promote your projects and Scrapbook Takeout on any forums you are allowed giving credit to Scrapbook Takeout.

Post and promote your projects and Scrapbook Takeout on your personal blog, with working links to the store and forum.

Participate on our message board, participate during online crops, and leave positive encouraging feedback for our members.

Gettin’ Stampy Girls will receive -

A set of Works or Add-On stamps every month, with a mix of products and papers from all three of our kits, free of charge including shipping.

A 30% discount off all orders placed, on any merchandise Scrapbook Takeout sells with free shipping as long as it ships with your SDT kit.

Your bio and picture featured on our SDT page on the website, promotion of your work in our newsletter, on the forum and blog.

How to Apply –

Our DT call will be in two parts!!! We want to make sure you are the right person for us!!! But don’t worry it has perks!!!

Part 1 – Deadline:  October 1st

Submit 3 projects via email to feast@scrapbooktakeout.com that best represent your talents and skills (1 layout, 2 cards, & 1 altered project) These items MUST utilize stamps in an obvious and meaningful way. All must be your original work, they do not have to be created specifically for this call and could have been viewed or posted elsewhere on the net.

Join and interact on our forum, we want to get to know you! Participation is required if selected and we want to see you in action!

The following Questions are required with your project submissions:

First tell us a little about yourself!!!

When did you start stamping and scrapbooking?

How would you or others describe your style?

Why are you applying to design for us?

Do you have any other talents you feel that would benefit our kit club, and if so, how?

Do you have an active blog that you update regularly? (Provide Link)

Are you active on any Forums or Message Boards? (Please List)

Give an example of a class or technique you would like to feature on our forum.  If it is one you have done previously please link to it.

Finally please provide a list of all current and past Design Team Experience (past design team work is not required) for current design teams please list your design requirements and term for that kit club. If you have a scrapbook resume, or a link to a gallery you would like us to see please provide that as well.

Part 2  –  October 5th – November 25th

We will select 8-10 designers to move on and receive a sample kit including stamps!! You’ve shown us what you can do with your stuff we want to see you work it with ours!

With these kits you will be required to fulfill our SDT requirements, you will complete 2 projects and submit 1 Technique Thread or 1 Class Thread with step by step pictures and instructions on the deadline provided with your kits.

All of those selected for round two will receive the same stamps and the same supplies, so everyone will be on an equal playing field!!!

Final decisions will be made on December 10th and the new Gettin’ Stampy Team will be announced!!

Good Luck!!!!!
