The sportster and the artist...
My two young chillins' are coming into their own. Ever since Alex spoke his first sentence 9 years ago, "I git da ball" <--see, scapbooking is a GOOD THING!> he has evolved into the euphoric sportster. Lover of all things balls. That didn't sound so good, but, I mean it. Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, Baseball, Dodge Ball (especially when I play with him, eh) and now Golf. I was watchin my sweet lil 10 year old practice his swing the other night while getting ready to go play a round with Dad. He just started this sport and I'm thinking...wow, that looks like a pretty good swing.... Tiger, are you reading this ;)
Today was his second Lancer football game. He's playing Jr. Pee Wee's this year and kickin' butt as their starting Full Back <I know I'm sounding like "one of those mom's", but I'm Proud! > # 27, Captain today!
Ella was asked to be the mascot for the little cheering squad So darn cute... She loves it! I'll let her have fun with it...until she's ready for the field hockey team ;) Kidding!
Here she is with the big pom pom's. SO CUTE!
Anyway, as soon as we got home today, Ella ran into her room (without even changing from her uniform) and grabbed her easel. Brought it out to the coffee table and started a new poster for her room. That's my girl. Just like her Mum... As she dug into her poster, I jetted off to dig into my JBS kit that just arrived! Check in later for deets on that :)
Oh, and here are the two of 'em starting their first day of 1st and 5th grades! Ella did great with full day and loved it. Alex did great too, but wishes there was another month of summer xo
proud braggin' mama... you have every right to be! awesome kids and Ella, she's just like my youngest~ always into drawing and creating!
