in other news...
the State Fair is upon us.
almost literally now that we live like a block and a half away.
and my neighbors are renting out their lawns.
for parking.
for hot tubs.
for mini donuts.
ah, good times.
and I can now say I truly understand Cathy's motivation for her "I live here dumbasses" sign.
if one more neighbor tries to wave me into their driveway or yard...
seriously.
I may have to make a sign of my own.

the upside?
we can hear every concert from inside our house...for free.
and we can see the fireworks from our bed at night.
scandalous!
