Hellloooo out there.....
...It's me, Rita. You know, the one who hasn't updated her blog in like, a million years. It's so dusty in here!
ha! Really, though, we have just been in full swing summer mode here at The Cottage. We've been working tons at Details, but trying hard to relax (when we can) here at the lake. We've been entertaining some and trying to squeeze in some scrappy projects here and there. My sister and her family are coming out next weekend for a week's long vacation! We are all so excited to see them and my sweet baby nephew Garrett (who isn't such a baby anymore....He's riding a bike already!)
Alex is coming home from summer camp this Friday!!! He went for 2 weeks last year, and this year 3. Not sure if Mom & Dad can handle 3 weeks, but, according to him....He's having the time of his life and already can't wait for next year. *sigh* I feel blessed that we can give him this experience though, even if we miss him so :(
So, CHA is starting this week! I so wish I could have gone to Chicago for it. However, with things as busy here right now, it just wasnt in the cards. I did get to do some fun scrapping projects for a couple booths though! Fantastic new Jenni Bowlin . I also just got a nice new box from Prima the other day which I plan to tear through tomorrow. Hope to be able to share some of that goodness later.....
I have to send a huge shout out to my girlfriend Paige Knudsen. She recently sent me some beautiful photos to scrap of her daughter Caroline. Paige is so darn talented with that camera of hers. If I had a million dollars, I'd hire Paige and her family to move in with us and document our life in photos for me! Maybe then, I'd actually be in a family photo or two ;) Anyway, I feel honored to have been able to scrap these few photos of her sweet family. Here is a page I made for her using all new JBS. Isn't her little Caroline the sweetest?!!!
I also made her a little mini album with some of the other photos she sent along....
So then, I continued to scrap. I tell you when I get the bug, I get the bug..... So here's some more JBS booth action: OH~ That "ribbon" in the center of the page is actually her new yummy "crepe paper ribbon"! It's brilliant and so fun to layer and work with....you guys will love it!
Here is sweet baby nephew, Garrett, splashing at the water park!!
and a sweet little plaque made with JBS chipboard, patterned paper & rub ons for the door to Ella's Room :)
Hope you are all having a great summer. Hope to be back blogging soon with more updates from the Cottage :) xo
OMG! I "know" Paige :D Isn't she the BEST - and I agree - fabulous with the camera! Wonderful page :D

Hi Rita
I am so glad you like my music. Just a few days ago though I noticed that the first song, What a wonderful world by Michael Buble wasn't playing. Well it seems that he is no longer on Playlist. I was so disappointed that I had to substitute another artist who's not nearly as smooth as Michael.
Your scrapbooking pages are wonderful. Our grandaughter is Ella so I loved the one with ELLA on it.
Thanks for leaving a comment.Hope you're having a wonderful summer. It sure looks like you are from the pictures!
Hugs, Rhondi

Your artwork is absolutely magnificent ! Love the way you used the brown ribbon for "my boy", the dimensionnal effects you give to all your pages and the way you use different frames to embellish your pitures. Keep me dreaming !
