life IS beautiful
Have you seen Lisa Leonard Designs? Please tell me you have? I am in love with her beautiful jewelry and accessories- I just became the very proud owner of a custom pendant ("The Original Necklace") by Lisa- I picked the sentiment "life is beautiful" because it has special meaning to me, and I hung my pendant on the necklace John gave me as a wedding gift. Every time I catch a glimpse of it in the mirror- I literally stop and admire it.
I am also super in love with the baby spoons she makes- I have a few friends who *might* get one of these for their little tots if they are lucky:)
Speaking of little ones- check out the party invite I am working on:
I just love his little face! John says he looks like he's doing a Billy Idol "Rebel Yell" impression. I don't know if you can see it, but that little blanket has tiny little rocker skull/bones all over it.
Here are a couple more shares from the Garden at 2peas:

(apparently I cannot get enough of this kid:)
Both of these pages were using the Ad Inspiration garden theme- I pulled my inspiration from this photo ad in my Pottery Barn catalog. Sometimes it's hard to translate this type of ad into a layout idea- but that rug- Hello!! I just loved how it looked against the blue with the splashes of color. This is now my all time favorite page, and I want to redo my house to look like this:
Here's a random funny subject to scrap about:) High School Boys! LOL!! Really though, when I think back on those years, these two really defined a lot of it for me- I owe them at least one big page in the scrapbook, if not more. and yes...I do feel a little weird posting it online...I had to settle for crappy yearbook pics- since I don't really have any pictures of us together. It was 1993- you know, before camera phones and MySpace...we were deprived. :)
and last but not least- this was a project I made showing an idea for using Hambly ATC Overlays- I made a set of note cards for my camera strap- being a newbie with the picture taking, I find it super helpful to having these little reminder/cheat sheets right there while I am shooting (the charts and info came from PhotoBert's Free Course- they sell premade cheat sheets that look really good if you are interested.)... And the yummy Hambly makes these fun to have hanging on your neck, kinda like camera jewelry...
You can see all these projects up close and with shopping lists here.
In other news, our hoop.dee.do's are the featured item today on CraftStylish.com- fun site, head over and take a look:
Don't forget about the Stampin' Up eScape Challenge- you can post your submissions until Friday when I will draw the winner.
I think that's plenty for one post- I will let you get back to your day. Have a great one!!! Summer has finally arrived in Seattle and we are ready to take full advantage of it. WooHoo!!

Ack! You totally got that Billy Idol song stuck in my head! (giggle)

I too am new at this thing called photography. I checked into the site for the cheat sheets. Now, did you copy them and cut them up to make the necklace? I need all the help I can get. I need camera jewelry too.
Great blog. Cute layouts!

Love your necklace! Ironically enough, I just got my first order from her this week! I got the tiny square necklace with my kiddo's names, and a dog tag necklace for one of my best friends! Love them! Great layouts - you rock!

OK, you're amazing -- but the dog page is my favorite too! In fact, you were the Scrapbook Page of the Week over at Card of the Week.com. You can check out the original post here: http://www.cardoftheweek.com/2008/06/scrapbook-pag-1.html

LOVE your necklace! My husband got me one last Valentine's Day - the square one with the dandelion with the phrase - "To my wife, the one that I love - Your Husband" written in French. It's my favorite thing that I own! Her work is amazing (as is yours!!)

Hi Jennifer. I found your blog from 2peas and I love it. Your work is so unique. In a great way. :) I was wondering if you would mind giving some pointers on how you get the photos of your pages so crisp and clear?
Thanks.
