John brought home flowers for me today:) He said, "Let the birthday week celebration begin:)"...sounds like I have trained him well...heh, heh.

I started this morning being woken up by a spastic dog that smelled like chemicals. I guess when he was coming back through the garage after his morning ball toss, he hit a bucket and splashed some paint thinner onto his fur, and then I think he must have licked it off...He was running around panting, digging and rubbing himself all over the carpet...we had him in the shower 2 seconds later and he came out 100% improved. It was scary for a second though, especially when I first woke up and didn't know what was wrong. He was acting like such a maniac- not normal at all. Thank goodness John knew exactly what to do, because I was still standing there with a confused look on my face while the John was scrubbing and splashing in the tub.

After John headed to work, and Drake was back to his sleepy self, I did some cleaning, made some notes on future blog plans and watched "Martha, Inc." on Lifetime. I saw the original when it was on as a TV movie a few years ago, Cybil Sheppard plays one tough Martha Stewart:) The message I got from the movie? Women sure have to sacrifice to get to the top. If she was a man, she probably wouldn't have had to deal with 90% of the crap they highlighted in her unauthorized biography. I mean seriously, like the one part where she is in the kitchen making a slew of food for her catering business and her husband comes in and whines, "what are we going to eat?" and Cybil/Martha says, "Order Pizza"...and that is supposed to show how horrible she is? PUH-LEEZE. I know Martha has just as many haters as she does fans, but you have got to say it's pretty impressive what she has accomplished, regardless what side of the fence you sit on. If I had one teeny weeny smidgen of her drive and focus...oh man- I so wish. I would buy some if they bottled it.

Tonight, I finally sat down and worked on cleaning out my email inbox. I have thousands of emails that were just sitting in one big honkin' pile. I had unreplied emails from last summer. GAWD! Seriously, if you emailed me and didn't hear back, I apologize profusely. It was a sad state, but I think I have it under much better control moving forward.

Starting next week, I am going to work on adding a few changes to the blog- one of those things will be answering questions in the comments section of my posts. I think this is the best way to ensure that questions don't get overlooked or buried in the inbox, etc. And hopefully this will also allow me to connect a little bit more with my readers (you)...which I am looking forward too:)

Off to bed for me! The DST changes have seriously worked us over this week. I am yawning like a howler monkey.

Happy Tuesday!

Well Happy Birthday almost, today is mine. March is a good month to have a birthday in. Hope you have a great relaxing week and you are so lucky to have week long birthday festivites I need to get my hubby to do that one, lol. yea right.

Fun!! :) Happy birthday week! I'm so glad Drakey is doing better. God, that would've been so scary and I totally would've freaked! Elliott started choking on a bone yesterday and I flipped out! Crazy muts. ;)

YAY early Bday flowers!!!! Oh he's GOOD! :)

Beautiful flowers! What a sweetie!

I'm Pro-Martha, hehe! Don't care how she comes off, I think what she's done is awesome!

Glad Drake is okay! I've been researching on dogs lately. My boys are now 5 and 7 so I'm thinking it's about time to get a dog. I grew up with one, so why shouldn't they?

And DST stinks!

Yup, i "love" how if we try to be strong and assertive we are said to "act like men" or be a "bitch." sigh. just gotta keep a sense of humor sometimes...

SO glad Drake is ok and I LOVE that your Hubby celebrates the whole week. Too sweet! Happy early Birthday!
