22/30
Today was a very emotional day- I spent the day with my dear friend talking with her about her recent loss. We talked about how much compassion has surrounded her and her husband, and I left feeling grateful for all the loving and supportive people that were in her life exactly at the moment she needed them.
Then, I went home and watched a movie with my husband that was really shockingly violent and ugly. It was not how I wanted to end my day. As I got ready for bed, I realized that I hadn't taken my POTD- so I just picked up the camera and snapped a shot of my haggard face in the bathroom mirror. My battery convieniently died right at that moment, allowing me to not have to think anymore for the evening.
I crawled into bed and picked up a book that has been sitting on my shelf for a while, unread. "The Art of Happiness" by His Holiness the Dahli Lama and Howard C. Cutler, M.D. It was the best thing I could have done. When I finally closed my eyes to sleep, I was filled with peaceful feelings. It was an important day, one I do not want to forget, because I learned a few very important lessons that I will hold close to my heart.

one of my fave quotes right now, "Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path a leave a trail." emerson
The path always starts where it does, but you have the power to take it where you want it to go.

I'm so sorry that you had a down day. I hope that all turns positive in the next few days. :)
