I don't work at Burgagagagagaga, I'm busy.

(the title is for Ben...and Josh...and anyone else who knows the reference)

back from Duluth... time to dive back in to real world full force tomorrow.
Had a great time up on the North Shore... had good weather considering it's mid October on the lake.  A little on the cool side, but it was sunny and dry. And I am never one to shy away from a hoodie...so all was well.
We did all the standards- beach combing (Ben found a few agates which made his heart happy), antiquing (scored some seriously sweet finds...old photos, old model airplane kits, a couple cameras, a lantern for Ben to make into a lamp, a typewriter from 1917 and some random bits and pieces that will be appearing on scrap LOs very soon...) and of course I did my standard mad photo taking... here are just a few...

(Ben's not a fan of his mug in this photo... but I like it...)

(Ben took this one of me... love it.)

so it was a good time all around... and we even learned a little something, I think, on our first day/night up north...

(I wrote this the morning after...)

so, turns out, Ginseng and I do not mix well. I was told this by a doctor several years ago, when I thought a Ginseng supplement would be a neat idea…but Doc suggested I call it off after a week of no sleep. And I was reminded of this by Ben on the drive up, after he read the ingredients on the energy drink I was slamming. I said it'd be fine… it's just a drink… not like some concentrated supplement taken over and over for days.

Yeah… wide awake and fidget-y with my mind racing all night I was rethinking that whole thing. Good news is I was able to read a whole issue of CK, four chapters of "Dearly Devoted Dexter", the travel magazine of what to do in Duluth, the "Rock Pickers Guide to the North Shore", plan out our entire next day and mentally arrange/remodel two houses that are at the top of my "place in my heart" list from house hunting last week. So…now I know where to go to find agates…and how I want the third floor attic/art studio space to be laid out in the Fairview house. Yeah…good times. Who needs sleep? I can still feel myself buzzing, and could hear it too as at 8:00 I woke Ben up by explaining to him the entire floor plans/layouts for the two houses and asking would he like to go see them on Monday instead of Tuesday cuz I could totally set that up, like now. How 'bout Monday? Tuesday is too far away. Is it too early on a Saturday morning to call our realtor???? Is it? What do you think babe? Huh? Huh?

yikes.

good times.

ok, so now that I've played hooky from my life for several days, it's time to get back in the swing of things- which = not so much puter time. But I will pop back in and spill when I have a minute.
