so thats the plan

Before I bore you with a novel below I will entertain you with fun pictures ;)
Since it may take a couple weeks to get the website fully running here's a couple pastel pieces I did

"escape" :

"voodoo" :

Remember I showed you the Urban Lily Secret Keeper chipboard cards?--so here's what I did with them and they come in a chipboard case which I plan to alter to keep the cards in

And if you head over to www.scrapinstyletv.com you can find these Making Memories (Noteworthy line) glitter paper pieces in the boutique. They FREAKIN rock. Thats all I gotta say...I love these!

and...now onto the novel :)

Gahh I tell you people I luuuurve the military--no really if I could be BFF with it I sooo would. It's quite possible that I would marry it but that might be pushing the envelope.
For those who didn't catch on quite as quickly (aka people like me lol)
That is purely sarcasm.

Do you all remember like 6 months ago when I thought I was going to be kicked out for my weight? And like all of you came and sent well wishes, encouragement and fun stuff like that...and then surprise surprise Adrienne you are still in the military? Well. THIS time I think it's for real. See last time there were paperwork issues and this times there's not. And what makes me think that this is for real this time around?--I'm *supposed* to transfer to a new command in January and anyone who knows the military KNOWS that if I haven't picked orders (orders mean the next command I want to go to) yet (and considering I'm in a two month window) that typically orders would be GIVEN to me (given meaning shoved down my throat). So I put in a request to just stay at my current command since...well...as of January I would only have a year left in the military before my 2nd term was up and it wouldn't make sense to transfer to a new command with only a year left--you still with me? So my boss tells me the other day that they are trashing my request because I'm going to be processed out of the military for my weight before I even get a chance to transfer LOL. Funny thing was I actually came to him to find out status of the request--DUDE this is kind of BIG IMPORTANT newwwws...**when** were you planning on telling me this???? GAH. Thanks for the heads up Uncle Sam LOL. I mean it's really not a HUGE deal or anything. I have plan A's and plan B's but it's still kind of scary...and the SCARIEST part is that I really don't even know if I should believe them or not...I mean cmon it's the military *wink* they tell us aliens don't exist *double wink* .

so yah...been thinking lately what my plan will be. Thought of being a lawyer but I think you need to go to college for that?-no? lol. I definitely want a degree-I still keep my GI bill so I will register in online classes and buy a laptop so that I can do the courses on the road. What I REALLY want to do is go to The Art Institute of California but got a SHOCKING surprise at how expensive it is and though the military will give me 60k for school they don't give it to me in lumps of 8k per semester HAHA. Looking into doing another book and teaching more classes and even thinking of doing part time job at a scrapbooking store while I get schooling done (dude--how cool right?). Plus I want to try the whole art thing...I've always wanted to do this but never really put forth the effort and lately I've been really pushing myself juggling everything in order to keep myself safe when or if the military disses me :)

Dude do I sound like a drama queen or what? hah
I just have to laugh. It's all just so ridiculous the games.

And can I just say my hands are ITCHING to see my book!! eeeks. I cannot wait. Only about a month now :D saweeeet!
hugs, Adrienne

Bonjour Adrienne !!
Through Scrapscene discovered your blog and just loooove it !! will come back for sure to read more !! and loooove your LO !! so cool and funky !!

I love your drawings and the layouts are cool and funky and vibrant and very ispiring!

Ugh. The military life. I *love* how everything is last minute. My husband just passed his flight aptitude exam to become a helicopter pilot. So, we're just waiting for them to assign class dates. Of course "going to class" actually involves moving to Alabama (yuck) for 18 months. Do you think they give me any notice what-so-ever? No. We're to out-process at Ft Bragg in Dec, and report to Ft Rucker in Jan. And, they still haven't given us the "official" orders. SO, of course, I can't really do ANYTHING. And, we own a home that I have to find SOMETHING to do with. Double ugh. Some advanced notice would be nice. They'll probably wait until the middle of Dec to make it "official". Of course...Christmas time. Perfect.

Oh, and I went to The Art Institute of Seattle. There was a guy in my program that was on the GI bill. He had the BIGGEST problems getting his money every quarter. The military doesn't make it easy...especially with art school. And, they were always giveing him a hassle. I'm sure you're aware of that, but just a heads-up.

Holy long comment! Okay, I'll wrap up the rant! Good luck on whatever you choose to do. I'm sure it will be wonderful. :0)

I love your doodles =) so awesome...

You know the Art Institute is way expensive. Being an army wife I chose to go the online route through the Art Institute. Have you thought of that? While the costs are way high I feel like I am spending the same amount as I did when I went to a University. Schools jut expensive. I guess with the AI I feel like the trade offs in costs come in your education. What other schools offer as creative programs as the AI? OH I also have the GI bill but I am Chapter35 (i think thats right). After financial aid kicked in (and I got like NO financial aid) and a VERY small loan, the remainder of the amount I owed in tuition could be covered by my GI Bill.... so if it would be covered by mine your GI Bill may be more, mines one of the lowest.

Sorry to yap yap yap on and on but if you have any questions just feel free and ask... I worked at ACAP for 2 years so I know a lot about the job search and education blah blah that goes on while processing out =)

Have a great day

haha, my hands are itching for it too.

sounds to me, you should be ditching the military and go for it. I loooooooved your workshops at StampedHouse a couple of months ago (did all 3 and could have done some more). If you ever come back to Holland I'm sure gonna sign up. Maybe next year?

Greetings,
Carola
